Your name will be sent by microchip on the InSight lander in May 2018 reaching the red planet 6 months later.

What is InSight and what will it do?

• InSight is a lander
• It will spend over 700 days on the surface of Mars
• It is programmed to take measurements of temperature, thickness of the Mars crust, the size of its core, its seismic activity and any meteorite impacts
• It will provide valuable information about previous life forms
